Our Partners

 Our collections are made in collaboration with artisans in India and are rooted in traditional craft techniques. Many of our artisans have been weaving or printing for generations and are proud masters of their craft. We relish in our partners rich knowledge, skill and workmanship. Visiting India and meeting our partners is always the highlight of our year, sharing stories and delicious meals with the many people who have made our vision possible. 

Our Techniques

 Let’s talk about the hands behind the homewares - the hands that often get forgotten about. The hands that weave the weft into the warp, the hands that print block after block with utmost precision, the hands that naturally dye yarn and fabric. The beauty of handcraft truly lies in the process and in the unique human touch. 

In collaborating with our artisan partners we seek to do our bit to preserve just a handful of traditional craft techniques and the history surrounding them. We want to make sure that they survive even in a world fuelled by cheap labour and mass production. Choosing to make products in a more thoughtful and slow way means that we are able to help create sustainable employment for artisans all over India.

Our Materials  

The textile industry has become one of the most pollutant and harmful industries worldwide. From intensive irrigation of conventional cotton crops, to large scale use of nasty chemicals, to whole communities being poisoned who live alongside factories.

The industry has a lot to answer for. We believe is time for us as global citizens to take stock, to think about the bigger picture and do things differently. As a brand we will continually strive to source materials and use processes that allow the earth to thrive and not just survive. Within our first collection we have used organic cotton, organic linen, pure silk and recycled cotton paper.
